HBO has shuttered its in-house casting department, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pay cable network has decided to rely on outside casting directors, the story says.

Senior Vice President Carrie Frazier and Vice President Amy Jo Berman have left the channel, the story notes.

The move comes as HBO is shifting development focus from longform projects to original series, the report adds.
