MGM has announced the appointment of a new president of television production, Deadline.com reports. The company hired veteran TV producer Steve Stark to fill the post, according to the story.

Stark’s credits include USA Network’s "Fairly Legal" and NBC’s "The Event." He will work under Roma Khanna, president of MGM’s Television Group and Digital.

In a statement, Khanna said of Stark, “Steve is an extraordinary talent with a tremendous track record and deep relationships in the television industry.”
