One of the NBC shows that’s been on the bubble got a sign of encouragement from NBC programmers when they ordered 6 more scripts for the series.
"Despite matching the performance of the canceled ‘Playboy Club’ in the demo, NBC isn’t giving up on" ‘Harry’s Law," writes our good friend James Hibberd at EW.com’s Inside TV blog.
Hibberd added, "Airing Wednesdays at 9 p.m. against comedy hit Modern Family and reality show The X Factor, as well as veteran Criminal Minds, the most recent episode delivered 8.2 million viewers (pretty decent) and a 1.2 adults 18-49 demo rating (yikes)."
But, as Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com notes, " the show received some good news on [Monday, Oct. 10, 2011,] when it got a 42% lift in Live+7 to a 1.7 demo rating."
Furthermore, as Hibberd notes, "Another factor [in the additional script order] is NBC’s inventory. You can only cancel a show if you’re ready to replace it, and NBC has other fish to fry after axing ‘Playboy’ (whose slot was filled, for now, with ‘Prime Suspect’ repeats) and ‘Free Agents’ (‘Whitney’ repeats)."

I really liked the first season of Harry’s Law, but not so much this year. While David E Kelly does great writing, one of the things that appealed to me was the quirky cast and having a small office in a shoe store. This year, it’s just another big law firm with most of the quirky characters gone.
Scott and I must not have been watching the same show. The three episode trial featuring Alfred Molina to start the new season was absolutely flawless. And at some point the quirky characters are just that quirky and cannot carry a full hour of content. There has to be some solid drama and Harry’s Law provides that without question. And it’s sure worth a notch on the DVR with the massive amount of content on TV these days. Too much good TV on so the Live +7 is a perfect way to measure Harry’s Law.
Of course it’s going to get it’s butt kicked versus the competition that night but this show is at least worth
