One of the stars of the original “Charlie’s Angels” will take on a role in the fifth and final season of "Chuck," according to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.

Cheryl Ladd, who starred in the 1970s and 1980s in ABC’s original "Charlie’s Angels"–replacing Farrah Fawcett-Majors–has been cast as Sarah’s mom in the NBC show, the story reports.

Ladd will appear in a January episode when the mother and daughter reunite, the story says. The actress played Kris Munroe for four of the original "Charlie’s Angels’" five seasons, the piece adds.

"Chuck"’s final season debuts Oct. 28.

  1. Just a note on phrasing: Cheryl Ladd may have been a star of the original Charlie’s Angels series, but she was not one of the original “Charlie’s Angels”. She was brought in for the second season, replacing Farrah Fawcett-Majors.

  2. Thanks, Nat. You are 100% correct, and we’ve tweaked both the headline and our body copy so there won’t be any confusion about what we meant.
