Randy Michaels, the former CEO of Tribune Broadcasting–who also later became CEO of the Tribune Co.–has been arrested for allegedly driving while drunk, reports Cincinnati.com.

According to the report, "Randy Michaels, whose real name is Benjamin Homel, was arrested about 2 a.m." on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011.

He was arrested "after he sunk his car in mud and water in a Middletown construction zone," the article says.

The story adds, "According to a Middletown police report, an officer on patrol came upon Michaels in his stuck car at Interstate 75 and Ohio 122 under an overpass. … After smelling alcohol on Michaels’ breath and observing that Michaels was swaying and unsteady on his feet, the officer put Michaels through three field sobriety tests, which he failed. The officer placed Michaels under arrest. Michaels refused an alcohol breath test. He also was charged with driving on a road that was closed."

  1. Michaels has been operating while “intoxicated” with himself for years.
At least, apparently, no one else was injured Friday night.
The injuries he has scattered across the broadcasting industry, for too many years, is scorched into the record books.
American broadcasting would be better off if he would just ride off into the Sunset with his collection of ill-gotten millions.

  2. Could not have said it better myself. When you have a grown man hiding behind his fake air name, it shows he even has to hide from himself.
