A hacking attack turned “Sesame Street’s” YouTube channel into a porn outlet Sunday, the New York Daily News reports.

The popular children’s site was reportedly taken down after operators discovered that videos of the Muppets had been replaced by explicit sex tapes. The company announced that the “channel was compromised” and issued an apology, the story reports.

In a statement on its website, “Sesame Street” said: "We always strive to provide age-appropriate content for our viewers and hope to resolve this problem quickly."

The channel has more than 140,000 subscribers and has had almost half a billion video views, according to the report.
