Spike TV has filled the newly created position of vice president of original series, Multichannel News reports. The position will be taken by Alex Eastburg, who will oversee development of unscripted programming and will report to Senior VP of Original Series Tim Duffy, the story reports.
Eastburg has been co-executive producer of “Car Lot Cowboy” and was co-executive producer of Spike’s “DEA” and TLC’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” the story notes.
Sharon Levy, Spike’s EVP of original series and animation, said in a statement: "We’re thrilled to add Alex’s talents to our team. We have worked extensively with him on a number of projects and we’ve always felt his vision and energy lines up perfectly with our Spike goals. We look forward to having him play an instrumental part in developing programming that resonates with our audience."
