The star of “Strangers With Candy,” a quirky sitcom that ran for three seasons on Comedy Central (1999-2000), has been tapped for a multi-episode arc on the CBS legal drama "The Good Wife," reports TVLine.com.
Amy Sedaris will play Stacie Hall, a lobbyist who is the nemesis of Eli Gold, played by Emmy nominee Alan Cumming, the story notes. Her character competes with Gold and starts stealing his clients, the article adds.
"We love Amy. We sometimes have dreams of switching all the actors from ‘The Wire’ and ‘Strangers With Candy,’” said "Good Wife" co-creators Robert and Michelle King in a statement. “The next best thing is to have Amy playing Eli Gold’s nemesis.”
