Time For a Deal: Tiger Woods Gets His First Major Endorsement Contract Since Scandal

Marking his first sponsorship since the scandal that followed his November 2009 car crash, Tiger Woods has signed a deal to endorse luxury watchmaker Rolex Group, reports Bloomberg.

Terms of the agreement weren’t released by Rolex, while Woods’ agent didn’t immediately return an email seeking comment, the story notes.

Following Woods’ admission of marital infidelity and his divorce, the golfer lost endorsement deals with companies including AT&T and PepsiCo’s Gatorade brand, the piece notes.

"Rolex is convinced that Tiger Woods still has a long career ahead of him," the company said.

Rolex’s other endorsers include golfers Phil Mickelson and Luke Donald and tennis professional Roger Federer, the story notes.
