"X-Men: First Class" and "Thor" co-writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are writing a script for Fox,  reports our friend Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com.

It’s a fantasy novel adaptation has received a pre-emptive buy from Fox, which has given a script commitment plus penalty to the project, the report says.

It’s based on the novel “The Magicians” by Lev Grossman, and will be produced by Michael London, Shawn Levy and Michael Adelstein, the story notes.

The book — a sort of "Harry Potter" for adults — follows a group of young adults who study magic and find the way into a magical world, similar to the Narnia books. The novel was published in 2009 and was followed by a sequel called "The Magician King," which was published in August.
