Kelsey Grammer’s new drama premiered Friday to weak numbers, Deadline.com reports. The new series bowed on Starz with just 659,000 viewers, the story reports.
That means the new show, “Boss,” debuted to smaller audiences than other recent Starz premieres, such as 1.125 million viewers for "Camelot" and 819,000 for "Torchwood: Miracle Day", the piece points out.
Nevertheless, ratings sometimes aren’t as important for renewals on premium TV, and "Boss" has already been renewed for a second season, the story notes.
Across all of the show’s airings over the weekend, "Boss" drew 1.72 million viewers, which was below the weekend ratings for "Camelot" and "Torchwood," the article adds.
