Popular Personality Re-Ups With E!

One of the stalwart’s of E! Entertainment Television has signed a deal to stay with the cable network. 

Chelsea Handler, whose new NBC sitcom “Are You There, Chelsea” premieres Jan. 11, is keeping a number of irons in the fire. Handler has agreed to a deal with E! Entertainment that will keep her late-night show "Chelsea Lately" on the air through 2014, reports EW.com’s Inside TV blog.

"Chelsea Lately" is the top-rated late-night talk show with women 18 to 34, the story says.

She also has a first-look pact with E! and NBCUniversal to develop new shows with Borderline Amazing Productions, her production company, the piece adds.

Handler’s new NBC sitcom is moving into the network’s 8:30 p.m. slot on Wednesday, following “Whitney,” as part of a previously reported midseason schedule shuffle.

  1. This makes me happy! Out of all the late night talk shows Chelsea is definitely my favorite. Every time I watch her show they never fail at making me laugh hysterically! I’m pretty excited to see her others shows too! Go Chelsea! 🙂
