The creator of an ABC series wrote that he was "mad" after he learned that the network had cut his show’s order to 15 episodes from the typical 22, reports The Huffington Post.

ABC announced the reduced order Friday for “Cougar Town” and said the show will return at an undetermined date, the story says.

"No, Cougar Town isn’t cancelled. Yes, I’m mad. We will see you soon, I’m sure (I know when/where but can’t say). Might speak my mind…" the show’s creator, Bill Lawrence, wrote on Twitter, the story says. "Look, we will be back, and the show will be on for a long time (Parks and Rec style). Only people hurt by reduced order – crew and fans," he added.

The rumor is that the show will return in March, taking over for "Work It" when the show finishes its run in the Tuesday 8:30 p.m. time slot, according to Deadline.com.
