A Fox News host lashed out at critics of the News Corp.-owned network, calling them “hypocrites” in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Greg Gutfeld, who hosts the late-night show "Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld" and serves as a panelist on "The Five," said in the interview: "You hear nothing but whining about Fox News because they’re kicking everybody’s butt. The people who whine about Fox News are hypocrites — they say they’re totally tolerant, but when they run into someone who doesn’t share their assumptions, they say, ‘Fox News is evil, and it must be stopped.’"
Gutfeld also took aim at Adam Levine, the frontman for Maroon 5 and a mentor on NBC’s "The Voice." As previously reported, Levine had asked Fox News to stop playing the group’s music.
"He’s so rebellious, so subversive," Gutfeld said, according to the piece. "I mean, for a musician, seriously, could you find a more predictable stance than that? He’s as edgy as a hacky sack, which also describes his music."
Fox News isn’t evil…just incompetent when it comes to being true journalists.
Unfortunately, most people only see FOX News in Prime time, when they are extremely opinionated. During the day their news programming is competent and well done and competes well with CNN.
By all means, let’s talk about journalistic incompetence.
For example, the news media widely knew for years that John Edwards was a louse and that his marriage a sham. And they knew that chapter and verse when he was running with John Kerry as vice president. Later, even after it became clear that there was evidence of an affair and a love child, the media left the story to National Enquirer. Too close to home. Maybe they’ll finally report on this when he arrives at the penitentiary gates.
Or how about this more recent news story shoved down the memory hole? More than 50 congressman and two Republican candidates for the presidency have called on Attorney General Eric Holder to resign for his cover-up and incompetence in the Fast and Furious case. Can you imagine if there had been 50+2 calling for a Republican attorney general to resign that it wouldn’t be an ongoing feature in the 24/7 cycle? But, you see, Holder is on the “good guys” side.
Or how about how the New York Times and the Washington Post recruited hundreds of its readers to help it read and scour more than 10,000 Sarah Palin eMails from her days as Alaska governor. After all that crowdsourcing effort, they found nothing of consequence or newsworthiness and the story just died. There’s no question that Palin was more thoroughly vetted that either Edwards and Obama.
Or how about the most recent revelations of lying, fabrication and intimidation by climate researchers in Europe. Despite the fact that the story is getting major coverage in the UK and elsewhere on the continent, global warming is a pet cause of the American media, so it. As demonstrated by the other examples above, it’s not about truth, it’s about taking sides.
The fact is that the US news media, right across the board, is an absolute joke. It has never been so partisan, so lazy and so massively incompetent.
There is no journalism in America. Not on TV. Not on radio. Not on the printed page. Not anywhere.

And how about the cracker jack reporting of the various OccupyWallStreet demonstrations. While the Tea Party was portrayed as dangerous, violent radicals, in the 3 years of Tea Party existence there have been fewer than 50 arrests. Meanwhile, in just a few months, the OWS demonstrations have totaled nearly 5,000 arrests, including rape and murder. But again, these are the “good guys,” so most Americans won’t have the opportunity to properly evaluate the worth and value of these demonstrations.
There is no journalism in America. Not on TV. Not on radio. Not on the printed page. Not anywhere. The media lies to us just as purposely and remorsely as our government lies.
?FOXNEWS? and this Gutfeld person MAY someday figure out what a journalist is…but I have my doubts.

Even their straight news coverage is slanted as far as how much they cover certain subjects and how they cover them. For example, any Republican/conservative making news in a way that embarrasses the right gets far less coverage on Fox than on any other channel.
You’re working on the false premise that journalism is liberal or incompetent outside of Fox. Incompetent: maybe. Like their coverage leading up to the Iraq war. Most simply parroted the statements from their white house sources, without verifying them. This included msnbc (who famously fired Phil Donohue for being too anti-war), CNN and the New York Times. Scott Ritter was one of the rare operations challenging the government’s claims, and they were right. The government’s statements turned out to be false.
I watch no Fox, outside of the clips seen on Media Matters and msnbc/CNN shows. There was plenty of coverage of Fast & Furious. It wasn’t just relegated to a mention at the top of the hour.
The opposition party asking for the resignation of Eric Holder is news? Give me a break. Sounds like just another day on Capitol Hill.
