ABC’s two Thanksgiving holiday specials — “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,” featuring pop superstar Lady Gaga, and the perennial animated special “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" — both fell well short of the ratings for a comedy rerun on CBS, EW.com’s Inside TV blog reports.
Lady Gaga’s special pulled in 5.4 million viewers, while the classic "Charlie Brown” cartoon did a little better with 5.8 million, the story reports.
But neither program came close to CBS’s repeat airing of "The Big Bang Theory" the same night, which drew 11.2 million viewers, the piece adds.
I have respect for Gaga, but that special was very weird, I thought. What was the point of having her interview with Kty Couric interrupted by her old school teacher/nun? Weird….
The music on the Gaga special was great. But the rest was beyond Weird.
