Just in time for the holidays, NBC is about to launch a new show, reports Deadline.com. Emmy winner Ben Bailey of "Cash Cab" fame will be the host of the new game show.

"Who’s Still Standing?" will roll out in December, launching as a prime-time strip. Introducing the show as a strip follows a pattern NBC has used before, with "Deal or No Deal," "Clash of the Choirs" and "The Sing-Off."

"Who’s Still Standing?" is a one-hour trivia program adapted from an Israeli game show called "Still Standing." It’s set to bow Monday, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m. ET, and will continue to air at 8 p.m. that week through Thursday, Dec. 22. It will remain in its regular Monday 8 p.m. time slot starting Dec. 26.

NBC is scaling back its plans for the revamped “Fear Factor” to make room for the new show. “Fear Factor” premieres Dec. 12 with a two-hour episode, but instead of remaining at two hours as previously announced, it will be cut to an hour starting Dec. 19, the story reports.

In a statement, NBC’s alternative chief Paul Telegdy said of “Who’s Still Standing?”: “This family-friendly series is perfect programming for the holiday season. The compelling and fresh format features the best elements of a classic trivia match combined with physical comedy, providing an intense competition that can be enjoyed by all ages.”
