In what’s described as a "power that was somehow missed by its early detractors," "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" is reportedly causing epileptic seizures among some film patrons, reports The Guardian.

Brandon Gephart was watching the film when he started convulsing during the movie’s graphic birth scene, according to CBS Sacramento. His girlfriend said he was "convulsing, snorting, trying to breathe," according to the report. Gephart was transported to the ER, while the theater cut short that showing, the story says.

Another man in Utah suffered a similar seizure, The Guardian article notes.

Medical experts suspect the culprit is the birthing scene’s strobing lights, which may have triggered photosensitive epilepsy, The Guardian says.
