Who’s the Most Searched Celebrity of 2011? Hint: It’s Not Charlie Sheen and Not Kim Kardashian

The most searched celebrity of the year isn’t someone who has been trying to make headlines, according to a Top 10 list that was just released.

The list of the most searched people on Bing has Justin Bieber on top, CBS News reports. Bieber was No. 6 last year, but soared to the top spot in 2011, knocking Kim Kardashian — last year’s No. 1 — down to No. 2. Bieber’s rise may have a lot to do with a paternity suit that was recently filed against him, as previously reported.

The rest of the Top 10 is all women, with Charlie Sheen, surprisingly, nowhere in sight. Below Bieber and Kardashian on the Top 10 are Jennifer Aniston, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus.

Dropping off the list after making the Top 10 in 2010 were Sandra Bullock, Jesse James, Michael Jackson, Tiger Woods, Barack Obama and Kate Gosselin.

The most searched TV show of 2011: “American Idol,” followed by “Dancing with the Stars” and “Glee,” the story reports.

  1. Yeah, but those are Bing statistics. How about the 80+% of people who use Google? In the world of search engines, Bing is irrelevant.

  2. I agree. Bing doesn’t count.
