The season finale of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” which premiered Sunday, set a ratings mark for the pay-cable network, EW.com reports. The drama pulled in its biggest audience of the season.

The 9 p.m. airing had 3 million viewers, and another 834,000 showed up for the first replay of the night, the story reports.

The news wasn’t as good for HBO’s sneak preview of “Luck.” The David Milch horse racing drama attracted only 1.1 million viewers, the story says.
