MTV has put out a casting call for participants in a new reality show, and it invokes a hit sitcom to describe the kind of people it’s looking for, the New York Post reports.

The network wants real-life "Big Bang Theory" types for what’s descibed as a "Jersey Shore"-type reality show for geeks, the story reports.

According to the casting call, MTV is looking for a guy or girl who gets “all the references in ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ can quote the Original Trilogy, can spot a Cylon among us, wish you could’ve attended Hogwarts, Starfleet Academy, or Xavier’s School for the Gifted, join the horde, and revere masters of science fiction and fantasy.”

The casting call was issued by Doron Ofir Casting, the piece notes. The show is called "Fandom Rising" and is luring geeks who want to be famous. According to the casting call, "If you want your shot at Snooki-style fame, feel free to apply.”
