Glenn Beck’s GBTV online network has ordered its first reality show: a program that follows a dad and his family as they prepare for the apocalypse, reports TVNewser.com.

Frank Belcastro and his family will be shown building "a car that runs on wood in case gasoline supplies are interrupted, becoming expert hunters when grocery stores are no longer in existence, and making his own alcohol for barter when the dollar collapses," according to a statement from GBTV, the story notes.

The program previously aired on History as "Apocalypse, PA," but will air on GBTV as "Independence USA" starting Jan. 18.

  1. I think there’s a rule of the English language that prohibits the use of the word “reality” and the name “Glenn Beck” in the same sentence as they are complete opposites. And if this is his network’s first “reality” series, does that mean everything else is fiction?
