Hallmark Channel is in "active discussions" with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia about a new deal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The discussions come as ratings have improved for the network’s five-hour block of Stewart-themed programming, the story says. The block includes “The Martha Stewart Show” and Emeril Lagasse’s “Emeril’s Table.”
In its target demo of women 25-54, “The Martha Stewart Show” is up 18% this season from last year.
Hallmark has had a deal with Stewart’s company since 2010, although the initial eight-hour block was cut down to five hours after it launched with disappointing ratings, the story notes.
