Netflix Chief Executive Reed Hastings will earn less than two other executives at his company in 2012, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

As previously reported, Hastings’ compensation was slashed, with his stock-option allowance cut from $3 million to $1.5 million, while his salary will remain at $500,000 for 2012.

That means that Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos is the highest-paid executive at the company, with his compensation rising to $2.8 million from $2.3 million, the story says. Neil Hunt, the company’s chief product officer, will also earn more than Hastings, the story says.
