Dish Network may be a target for AT&T, after the telecommunications company failed in its attempt to purchase T-Mobile USA, reports Bloomberg, citing an analyst report.
AT&T is "desperate for spectrum,’ notes Stifel Nicolaus analyst Christopher King, according to the story.
Dish, the second-largest U.S. satellite-TV company, bought DBSD North America and TerreStar Networks this year to gain their spectrum licenses, the piece notes. AT&T may have its best shot at improving its wireless network by purchasing Dish, King said, according the story.
AT&T declined to comment.
