Shakeup at ESPN: Well-Known NBA Show Hosts Are Out

Dec 21, 2011  •  Post A Comment

ESPN is shaking things up with its NBA coverage, dumping two familiar hosts for its NBA studio show in favor of a lineup without a traditional host, USA Today reports.

Stuart Scott and Hannah Storm are out, and the program will be focused on former NBA great Magic Johnson. The show will no longer originate from ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn., but will move to Los Angeles to accommodate Magic.

The show will continue using former player Jon Barry and sports columnist Michael Wilbon to discuss the games. In addition, basketball reporter Chris Broussard is joining the mix.

The changes come after ESPN failed to secure the services of Shaquille O’Neal, losing the popular former NBA star to rival TNT.
