The Syfy cable channel made its first pilot pickup in more than a year, ordering a pilot for an action thriller called "Rewind," Deadline.com reports.

The two-hour pilot tracks a team of military field operatives and civilian scientists who travel back in time to change the future course of events, thereby preventing a terrorist attack, the story says.

The order is the network’s first original pilot order since 2010, when it ordered "Alphas" and "Three Inches," the piece notes. Of those, "Alphas" went to series and has received a second-season order.

"Rewind" comes from film writer Justin Marks, BermanBraun and Universal Cable Productions.
