Bravo has named a new vice president of program planning and acquisitions, B&C reports. The position is being taken by Deirdre Bianchi, who was promoted from senior director of strategic program planning for the network.

She will report to David Brewer, VP of program strategy and acquisitions, out of the New York office.

Bianchi will oversee the Bravo programming schedule and off-network movie acquisitions, and will serve as the network’s liaison to NBCUniversal’s cross-platform programmers.

In a statement, Brewer said, "Deirdre’s invaluable experience and passion for television make her vital to the evolving programming landscape at Bravo. We are fortunate to have her on our formidable team that will raise the network’s programming to new heights in 2012."
