CBS has picked up a high-profile project to pilot, Deadline.com reports. The network had previously given a put pilot commitment to “Golden Boy,” written and executive produced by "Brothers & Sisters" executive producer Greg Berlanti. The project now has the official green light for a pilot.

The project comes from Warner Bros. Television, where Berlanti has an overall deal, the story notes. The drama tracks a police officer’s rise to police commissioner.

Berlanti has three pilot orders this season, the story notes, including CW’s “Arrow” and Fox’s “Guilty.”
