CBS TV Studios has inked a deal for a director and executive producer on the upcoming CBS Sherlock Holmes pilot “Elementary,” Deadline.com reports.
Michael Cuesta, best known as the director of Showtime’s "Homeland" pilot and as an executive producer on that show, joins the CBS project. He will continue as exec producer and primary director for “Homeland” at least through season two, the story reports.
The deal marks what is expected to be another project that Cuesta will work on with his brother, Gerald Cuesta, with whom he collaborated on the zombie drama "Babylon Fields."
Michael Cuesta has worked for CBS TV Studios before, having directed the pilot for CBS’s "Blue Bloods." He also directed the pilot for Showtime’s "Dexter."
