NBC has picked up 10 pilots, including one that marks the return to scripted television for a veteran sitcom star, TVLine.com reports.

"Downwardly Mobile" will star Roseanne Barr as the owner of a mobile home park who acts as a mother figure to the people who live there during economic tough times, the piece notes.

Other projects include "Go On," from "Friends" writer Scott Silveri and Universal Television, which focuses on a sportscaster dealing with a loss; and "Animal Kingdom," from "The Hangover Part 2" writer Scot Armstrong. The latter project is described as a comedy about a veterinarian who loves animals but despises their owners, the story notes.

Also included in the orders are "County," an hourlong drama starring Jason Ritter, which is about a group of doctors and nurses working at a struggling Los Angeles hospital; and Dick Wolf’s firefighter drama "Chicago Fire."

  1. I’m actually somewhat excited to hear Roseanne Barr is headed back to scripted TV. I definitely enjoyed her back in her Roseanne days!
