NBC has hired a VP of talent development for its alternative department, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The network tapped Chuck LaBella, a producer and veteran consultant for the network.
LaBella has booked musical guests for Craig Kilborn’s late-night show and talent produced for Bill Maher’s "Politically Incorrect," the story says.
His new NBC position, which includes lining up celebrities to appear on the network as well as handling talent relations, is a job that’s more common in cable, the piece adds.
Said Paul Telegdy, NBC’s president of alternative and late-night programming: "We are excited to make this announcement official since we have worked with Chuck for so many years where he has contributed to the success of our shows as well as others.”
This is a great day for the world.
