Popular rapper and reality TV personality Snoop Dogg was arrested over the past weekend, reports TheWrap.com. He was nabbed on a drug charge while crossing the border between Mexico and Texas, the story reports.
Around 3 a.m. Saturday in Sierra Blanca a drug-sniffing dog reportedly detected marijuana on the rapper’s tour bus. Agents found .130 pounds of grass, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Snoop Dogg reportedly did not deny that the grass was his and was subsequently arrested and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after booking. The rapper reportedly has a prescription for the drug, but is only allowed to have medical marijuana in California, not Texas.
It was reportedly at least the fourth time Snoop Dogg has been picked up for pot. His representatives did not respond to requests for comment from the publication.
The story points out that country singer Willie Nelson was also arrested for possession in Sierra Blanca, in 2010.
