Outrageous ‘Fear Factor’ Stunt Angers Advocacy Group — but the News Here May Be That Such a Group Exists

An unusual advocacy group has expressed outrage over a boundary-pushing stunt that is scheduled for tonight’s episode of NBC’s “Fear Factor,” TMZ.com reports.

As we reported previously, the episode had NBC executives debating whether to pull the stunt — in which contestants were asked to drink donkey semen — from the show. NBC ultimately decided to go ahead with it.

TMZ reports that the American Donkey and Mule Society isn’t happy about the stunt.

The president of the American Donkey and Mule Society said the group feels "This is a negative event and not well thought out by the producers," and added that the organization doesn’t "condone use of the animals in such a manner," according to the story.

  1. As dispicable and disgusting as these acts are, and completely validates the “race to the bottom” that was predicted when they allowed media consolidation, I am a bit confused by this group’s outcry. Are they against a “thickened liquids” diet or against donkeys getting a happy ending?

  2. Brian Roberts must be so proud…

  3. Suddenly, the “lost” Springer episode, “I Married A Horse” doesn’t seem like such a big deal. This was just a stupid, stupid stunt and I really feel sorry for the poor people who actually did it. Screw the overall competition, anybody who ingested ANY of the fluids in question should be issued a substantial check immediately and everyone on staff that had anything to do with the creation of the stunt should be fired immediately. In fact, that check issued to the contestants should come out of the bank accounts of said staff members. What a bunch of idiots.

  4. If this does not start a national debate here in america then we have descended into a moral pit.We Americans have the burden of leading the world to a better place. It used to be said “So goes America , so goes the world”.I plead to my fellow TV people to remember that…thank you
