The star of a popular CBS sitcom now has a second comedy project in the works at the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Mike & Molly" star Melissa McCarthy is attached as a non-writing co-executive producer on a half-hour comedy script CBS bought from Larry Dorf of “Mad TV” and McCarthy’s husband, Ben Falcone, the story reports.
The script is about a 37-year-old man who lives at home with his parents, the story notes. Falcone and Dorf will have supervising producer and co-writing credits, the piece notes.
CBS recently bought a comedy from McCarthy and Falcone about a woman in her 40s who has a midlife crisis, with the couple to co-write and co-exec produce.
McCarthy won an Emmy last year for outstanding lead actress in a comedy for “Mike & Molly.”
