Ousted Reality Series Cast Member Shopping Her Own Show, Says the Last One Was a ‘Train Wreck’

A former cast member who got the boot from a major reality show apparently still has hard feelings — and she’s not keeping them to herself, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

Alex McCord, who got the heave-ho from "Real Housewives of New York City" in September, as previously reported, is out shopping her own reality show with her husband, Simon van Kempen, the Post reports.

In an email she sent to friends, McCord reportedly wrote: "While we were sad to lose the dollars … we weren’t sad to be off that particular show. Now that we are free-and-clear of our Bravo contracts, we have been meeting with … just about every cable network as well as a couple of the main networks.”

The show would possibly be titled "Based in Brooklyn," and would track 30-something parents in the borough, the story says.

McCord, who spent four seasons on “Real Housewives,” had unkind words for her former show, calling it a “train wreck” and a “faux reality show.” At last, the secret is out!

McCord did not rule out the possibility of selling “Based in Brooklyn” to Bravo, the story notes.
