Carson Daly, the host of "The Voice," issued an apology for his apparent attempt at humor in comments about a JetBlue pilot who freaked out during a recent flight, TMZ.com reports.
Daly took to his radio show to air his belief that gay people wouldn’t have restrained the pilot, the story reports. Daly was talking about the incident when he noted, "Most of the people were on their way to some sort of security conference in Las Vegas … it was like a bunch of dudes and well trained dudes … thank god," according to the story.
He added, "With my luck, it would be like … ‘this is the flight going to [the gay pride parade] in San Francisco. … I mean, that would be my colleagues," according to the article.
Daly later apologized for his comments on Twitter, noting, "This morning on my radio show I attempted to make fun of myself & offended others by mistake. I sincerely apologize."
