NBC has won the February sweeps, paced by the Super Bowl along with strong numbers for “The Voice.”
For the period from Feb. 2-29, NBC led the way in the key 18-49 demo with a 3.7 average rating, ahead of CBS (3.0 average), Fox (3.0), ABC (2.5) and CW (0.7).
CBS won the battle for total viewers with an average of 12.2 million, to 10.4 million for NBC, 8.5 million for Fox, 7.8 million for ABC and 1.6 million for CW.
NBC’s Monday talent competition “The Voice” was the No. 1 series in many demos, including adults 18-49, women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34, along with a tie for No. 1 in men 18-49.
Boosted mainly by the Super Bowl and "The Voice," NBC was up 131% in viewers 18-49 from the year-ago sweeps period (3.7 average rating vs. a 1.6) and was up 86% in total viewers (10.4 million vs. 5.6 million).
