Former ‘CSI’ Star Working on Return to TV

The former star of "CSI" star is working on a drama series that he would star in and would executive produce, reports TVLine.com.

William Petersen, who left the show in 2009 after spending nine years on the program, is working on "Hurt People," a drama series in development at GK-TV, the story says.

The actor would play Hollis Brown, a veteran hitman who is working for the crime family that killed his wife, the story says. GK-TV was started by Graham King and Tim Headington, the executive producers of "Camelot," the piece adds.

Petersen hasn’t appeared in much since leaving "CSI," although he is co-starring in an eight-hour American Civil War miniseries called "To Appomattox," which will debut in 2013, according to the story.
