Following in the tradition of Lucille Ball, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Carson and Billy Crystal, a veteran TV actress will be roasted at the annual Friars Club roast, reports ETOnline.com. The actress is Betty White.
On May 16, White will be put on the ultimate show business hot seat, the one roast that really has stature in the industry — which is held behind closed doors.
The actress known for “Hot in Cleveland” and “The Golden Girls” indicated she would be ready for the pressure. White told ET: "Those Friars may think I’m an easy mark but I have 90 years of comebacks waiting for them. This is such an honor to be roasted by the Friars Club. It will be an afternoon filled with dirty words, risque jokes & sex talk … and that’s just what I plan on saying. I have no clue what the comedians will talk about."
