One of the main cast members of the original “Star Trek” series will make a dream come true for a nerd character on the hit CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” TVLine reports.

Leonard Nimoy, forever known as Mr. Spock on "Star Trek," will beam over to the show. To the characters on the comedy, especially Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Nimoy is a hero. In a season two episode, Sheldon received an autographed napkin from Nimoy and was joyous that he literally had the actor’s DNA!

In the March 29 episode, it will be Nimoy’s voice that finds its way to the show: Spock will speak to Sheldon in a dream sequence. Nimoy has reportedly been invited to appear on camera by the producers, but has yet to say yes.

Other stars from the "Star Trek" series who have appeared on "Big Bang" in the past include Levar Burton, Wil Wheaton and Brent Spiner.
