HBO has set a record with the March 6 release of the first-season DVD set of "Game of Thrones," reports EW.com’s Inside TV blog.
The premium cable network has sold about 350,000 units of the DVDs, the biggest seven-day tally for any television series in HBO’s history, including "True Blood" and "The Sopranos," the piece notes.
With the DVD sales mark and record views for the second-season trailer, "Game of Thrones" may draw stronger ratings when it returns on April 1, the article points out.
