A reality series hosted and executive produced by two of the stars of the 1984 movie "Revenge of the Nerds" has been picked up by TBS, reports Deadline.com.

The show, "King of the Nerds," tracks nerds as they compete in teams that test their intellect and skills, the story says. After the team round, they will move on to individual challenges.

TBS has ordered eight episodes of the show, with “Revenge of the Nerds” stars Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong attached to host and executive produce.

The series will premiere on TBS in early 2013, the piece adds.
