Oprah Winfrey’s cable network OWN scored its highest rating yet with a recent telecast, reports The New York Times’ Media Decoder blog. The program was Sunday’s interview by Winfrey with Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston.

About 3.5 million viewers watched the interview, which was promoted for a week before it aired, the story notes. The network’s most-watched program before that was a January interview with televangelist Joel Osteen, with 1.6 million viewers, the story notes.

As previously reported, Bobbi Kristina told Winfrey that she still feels her mother’s presence and that she wants to "carry on the legacy" with a singing career.
