Oscar-Winning Producer Developing Drama Series for Showtime

An Oscar-winning producer is developing a drama series for Showtime, Deadline.com reports. The project, executive produced by Arnold and Anne Kopelson, is “Pure Evil.”

The story reports: “The project, which is being written by Trey Callaway (‘CSI: NY’), centers on a brilliant and sinister CEO of the world’s largest tech & media conglomerate.”

Arnold Kopelson won an Oscar for best picture as the producer of the 1986 feature “Platoon,” and was also nominated for 1993’s “The Fugitive.” Arnold and Anne Kopelson also executive produced a short-lived 2000-2001 CBS reboot of the series “The Fugitive” based on the movie version.

Callaway and the Kopelsons will exec produce the new series, with Steve Barnett, president of Kopelson Entertainment, also producing.
