A veteran pop singer who was part of a 1990s talk show has secured a deal for a new daytime talk show, the New York Post reports.

Marie Osmond, who sought to sell a syndicated show in 2008, will star in a chatfest on Hallmark Channel, the story reports. Osmond, 52, has experience in the talk show world, as she hosted the syndicated show "Donny and Marie" with her brother Donny Osmond for two seasons in the late 1990s.

The new program, "Marie!," is scheduled to debut in the fourth quarter and will air on weekday afternoons. Hallmark said the show will be an "an inspirational journey to help people make a difference in their own lives," according to the article.

Hallmark is making room on its schedule for the program with the cancellation of "The Martha Stewart Show," the piece adds.

It’s still up in the air whether the show will tape in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, where Osmond performs a stage show at the Flamingo Hotel.
