Will Ferrell dropped in on “Conan” last night as his “Anchorman” character Ron Burgundy to announce plans for “Anchorman 2,” a sequel to the hit 2004 film “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” The Washington Post reports.

“Burgundy” also insulted host Conan O’Brien’s appearance and made a few suggestive remarks during his surprise appearance.

The announcement was short on details about the sequel, but media reports indicate that Paul Rudd and Steve Carell are expected to return along with director Adam McKay and producer Judd Apatow.
