A former Nickelodeon star who has appeared in a series of teen-oriented feature films was reportedly arrested early today on suspicion of driving under the influence.
People.com reports that Amanda Bynes, who was featured in TV shows "All That" and "The Amanda Show," was arrested at 3 a.m. in West Hollywood after she reportedly sideswiped a police car while trying to drive past it.
Bynes also starred in the TV show “What I Like About You” and in features including “What a Girl Wants” and “She’s the Man.”
According to a police statement, "There was minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles. Amanda Bynes was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station."
According to media reports, Bynes was released late Friday morning after posting $5,000 bail.
Bynes celebrated her 26th birthday April 3.
