Comedian George Lopez has a summer TV job lined up, Deadline.com reports. Fox has hired Lopez as the host of its summer dating series "Take Me Out," according to the report.

The show, which will debut June 7 and hold the 8 p.m. Thursday time slot, will feature 30 attractive single women, who meet several bachelors each week. The women will try to impress the men with their personalities, looks and humor, the piece adds.

Lopez will play the matchmaker between the sexes as the show whittles down the contestants to one man and one woman, who will go on a dream date, the story says.

Lopez, who previously hosted a talk show on TBS and starred in the sitcom “George Lopez,” also has a new syndicated sitcom in the works at Debmar-Mercury, as previously reported.
