"Homeland" writer-producer Alex Cary has signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television, Deadline.com reports.

Cary will continue as co-executive producer on the Showtime drama, which is produced by 20th TV’s cable unit Fox21, the story says. He will also work on developing new projects for the studio.

Cary came to the studio more than two years ago to work as a story editor on the second season of "Lie to Me," and by the end of the season had been promoted to executive producer and co-showrunner for its third season, the story notes.
