BBC America has unveiled plans to launch a new daytime cooking show May 1, the Chicago Tribune reports. The twist is that the show will be done in real time, with the entire meal created from scratch in 30 minutes.
TV chef Jamie Oliver will star in the show, "Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals."
In a statement, Oliver said: "The years of me making pleasant suggestions are gone. I am going to tell you what to do, what to buy, when to turn your oven on and how to make these dishes. If you listen, you’ll end up with a feast of beautiful things on your table in less than half an hour. This is about making people brilliant, on a daily basis."
FremantleMedia Enterprises is distributing the new show globally.
